This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all purchases of Goods from Techfident Limited (“the Company”) via www.techfident.co.uk and shop.techfident.co.uk, and supplements our Terms & Conditions.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are not affected by this policy. This policy provides rights that are additional to, or clarify, your statutory entitlements.

1. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Customers)

If you are a consumer purchasing Goods for personal use, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the Goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel:

  • Notify us clearly in writing by email to hello@techfident.co.uk or by post to Customer Services, Studio 10 New Mead Barn, Wickham Hall, Hadham Road, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire CM23 1JG
  • Include your order number, name and description of Goods to be returned
  • Telephone cancellation alone is not sufficient

2. Cancellation Before Despatch

You may cancel an order at any time before it is despatched, without charge. Where payment has been taken, we will refund you in full within 5 Business Days. Contact us as soon as possible at hello@techfident.co.uk or 0203 488 3282.

3. Returning Goods

Following a valid cancellation notice, you must return the Goods to us within 14 days of notifying us. Please ensure:

  • Goods are returned in their original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, manuals and media intact
  • Security seals and copyright seals are unbroken
  • You obtain and retain proof of posting
  • Goods are adequately packaged to avoid damage in transit

The cost of return postage is your responsibility unless the Goods are faulty or misdescribed.

4. Refunds

Once we have received and inspected the returned Goods, we will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the return (or 14 days from the date you provide evidence of return, if earlier). Refunds are made by the original payment method.

The refund will include:

  • The cost of the Goods
  • Standard delivery charge (we will refund our least expensive standard delivery option; if you chose a premium delivery service you will not be refunded the uplift)

We may reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the Goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

5. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your Goods are faulty or misdescribed:

  • Within 30 days: you have the right to a full refund
  • Within 6 months: you are entitled to one repair or replacement attempt. If this fails, you may claim a full or partial refund
  • After 6 months: you may still claim if you can show the fault was present at the time of delivery, though we may make a reasonable deduction for usage

To report a faulty item, contact Customer Services at hello@techfident.co.uk or 0203 488 3282. An RMA (Returns Authorisation) reference will be issued.

6. Exceptions — Items We Cannot Accept for Return

The following items may not be returned unless faulty or misdescribed:

  • Software where the copyright seal or shrink-wrap has been broken
  • Custom-configured or bespoke equipment built to specification
  • Items where security seals have been broken
  • Downloadable digital products once download has commenced

7. Warranty Returns

For warranty repairs or replacements outside the 30-day return window, please refer to the Warranty section of our Terms & Conditions. Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies, we will direct you to the appropriate process.

8. Business Customer Returns

Business customers do not have the benefit of the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Returns are at the Company’s discretion and subject to a restocking charge of 25% (minimum £25). Please refer to the Business Customer section of our Terms & Conditions.

9. International Orders

For goods supplied to customers located outside the United Kingdom, the following applies in addition to the above:

  • (a) Return shipping costs for international orders are the sole responsibility of the customer, regardless of the reason for return.
  • (b) Import duties, customs charges or local taxes paid by the customer in the destination country are non-refundable by Techfident Limited. Customers should seek recovery of such charges directly from their local customs authority where applicable.
  • (c) Refunds for international orders will be issued in GBP sterling to the original payment method. Techfident Limited is not responsible for any currency conversion losses.
  • (d) Consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply to UK and EEA consumer customers. Customers outside these jurisdictions should refer to their local consumer protection legislation.
